Breakfast To Lose Fat For Teenage Girls

Three of the most popular candies teenage girls love are Snickers, Twix and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.  The average number of calories for these candies is 256.  So what?

We’ll need to do a little math here.  Let’s say the average teenage girl needs 2,000 calories per day.  This is typically the number calories needed to maintain normal weight.

Anything more than 2,000 calories will need to burned off with exercise to prevent weight gain.  So let’s talk about the 256 calories from the Snickers bar, Twix bar and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Assuming you ate 1 of these 3 candies everyday at school (180 days), you would have eaten:

Now we’ll do a little division problem:

Will you gain 13.17 pounds?  You will if you don’t burn off all the calories you need (2,000 calories/day) plus the extra 256 calories from the candy.

Do you see how easy it is to gain weight without much effort?  I want to keep beating the drum for eating breakfast to lose weight at little more here.

All carbohydrates (all non-meat foods) are measured by something called the glycemic index.  The scale ranges from 1-100 and the foods closer to 1 are the best.  Why?

The so-called “low glycemic index” foods include fruits and vegetables (good cholesterol foods).  These types of foods don’t mess with your sugar level like junk food does (bad cholesterol foods).

Even though you can’t tell when you’re sugar levels get low until it’s almost time to pass out, your body knows all the time.  Junk food spikes your sugar levels quickly, but also drops quickly after you eat that candy.

Low glycemic index foods barely move you sugar level up or down quickly so you won’t BONK out quickly either.

The choices you make as a teenager will have a big impact on what you will look like as an adult.  Try to eat the right foods and more importantly always eat breakfast to lose weight as part of your overall strategy.
